Following an academic exchange at the University of Queensland, Australia, and a research field trip in the Great Barrier Reef, I developed a strong interest in marine ecosystems and coral reefs in particular. After completing my bachelor's and master's degrees in environmental sciences and ecology at the Universities of Lausanne and Zürich, Switzerland, respectively, I'm currently investigating Red Sea coral reefs at different spatial scales using modeling technics as part of my Ph.D.

When not underwater or on the computer, you can find me hiking in the Swiss mountains and enjoying snow and cheese.
